My Apartment and the Vista Way Apartment Complex

My apartment building #37, which is the one right in the middle of this pic. I love the little pond outside, especially when I wake up in the morning and my bed it right next to the window, so I can just look outside and see water. Beautiful!!!

Different angle of the lake. It's actually quite big and takes about 1~2 minutes to walk halfway. It's so cute, everyday that I walk by it to Sabrina and Ah Wing's place there are always 3 ducks in the pond. It seems like it's a mother, father, and a little duckling. Totemo kawaii desu!

The side view of my apartment #37. Every building here at the Vista Way are exactly the same. It's actually pretty big! Maybe about 36 people each building (6 apartments in each building, which is 6 people in each apartment). The outside looks very beautiful, although the inside is a bit old...

The front of my apartment building. Very tall! It's 3 stories high, with quite a modern look (on the outside though XP)

My room!!!!! The left is my roommate Ashley's green bed, and the right near the window (and neater too, haha) is Mine!!!! Look how pretty (ehhh...). I love how bright my side is in the morning, and it really wakes you up and feel refreshed as the sunlight shines right through it

See how bright it is on my bed!!! It's a good thing they offered us blinds though, haha, or else for the entire internship there I'll come back home with my face tanner than any part of my body, hahahaha ^_^

Taken to show you the outside view from my window. This is the pond-view that I mentioned earlier. It's sooo pretty!! I can just sit on my bed and stare out in the morning into the pond for hours! (not saying whether I really did it or not XD... It's extremely peaceful and relaxing!!!)

The living room of my apartment. The TV on the left someone actually brought that with them, because Disney did not provide that form of entertainment...

Kitchen of my apartment. They provide all the pots and pans and plates and knives and spoons and forks and bowls (hahaha ^^)

The living room again, from a different angle. Notice how old the TV is, haha. It only has two volume settings: One that you can hardly hear unless you sit very close, or one that blasts so loud that you have to scream to talk to the person next to you and that even outside in the hall with the door closed you can hear it ^^

The front angle of the kitchen. To the left is a little table that allows two people to put their laptops out to connect to the internet. I don't have to cram my laptop onto theire to connect cuz I use the wireless router that JOE LEE gave me!!!!!! YAY!!! We have connected it at Sabrina and Ah Wing's apartment because Ah Wing needs to use it too, so I keep my laptop there to use. Thank you Joe!!! It's sooooooo convenient, and not just for me and Ah Wing, but also for our entire apartment too!! When everyone found out we had wireless, they were sooooo happy too! hahaha ^_^

My bathroom, shared with 3 other people >.< Teeny-tiny, haha

Even though the bathroom is teeny-tiny, it's good that they thought of adding 2 sinks, in case one person is doing a #2 in the bathroom, haha ^.^ Convenient!!

The beautiful view of the pond again, this time on the 2nd floor of the balcony on my building, right outside my apartment

One of Sabrina and Ah Wing's roommate, from Puerto Rico. She's extremelyyyyyy funny and open and friendly. Very nice!! This is Sabrina and Ah Wing's apartment, by the way. This is their dining room table. To the right is the kitchen

LOOK AT OUR FRIG!!!! hahahaha actually it's not just all ours. It's the entire apartment's food. But just wanted to show you how we share the frig and how full it became, the day right after we visited Wal-Mart, haha ^0^

The kitchen at Sabrina and Ah Wing's apartment. We keep all our food their, the 3 of us, so it's a lot!!! and plus, everyone in their apartment is over 21, so they know how to take care of themselves and eat right, so they buy lots of good food to cook for themselves, including US!!!!

The checkin-in area here at Vista Way. It's quite colorful, but the inside isn't very pretty. It's just a small computer lab (free printing! yeshhhhh ^^), and a mailbox where we pick up our mail and packages (Thanks Howie!!)

MY TWO awesome roomates!!!! The front one is Elilzabeth or "Liz", and that's the really nice and mature one. She is from Michigan and is turning 21 next month. By the way, she drove all the way over here to FL... just had to share that with you, as to What in the World was she Thinking?!?! hahhaah
The person behind her is my actual roommate who shares the same room as me. Her name is Ashley and she's only a freshman in college. She's from West Virginia, and she too, drove down here and it took her 13 hours, by herself, haha. She's very very friendly and nice too. She's great to talk to and pretty mature for her age, or compared to the other 3 roommates that i have that i dont want to share with you, haha. Very annoying and immature, since they're all 18yrs, and the sad part is that one of the girls is 20... sad huh?...

The outside pool of our complex at night. This is by the shuttle/bus stop, and we have many pools and basketball courts and tennis courts on property. Nice and pretty!!!

Another night view of the pool, but also to show you what our buildings look like at night at the complex.

Well, that's ALL folks!!! for this time, i guess. There's still LOTS AND LOTS more pics!!! I'll be back!!!

Random Pics

Annyoung!!
These are just random pictures that people have requested (*ahem...vicky..^^), such as my apartment, my room, roommates, and my community. Enjoy!
**Key: [P] = Caption for the above picture**

[P] My official nametag!!! I need to wear it everywhere I go when I am working or attending class. Yay! It's soooo pretty! I feel so special! I'm so happy that instead of saying Hunter College on it, it says that I'm from New York. I'm a proud New Yorker! haha ^_^

[P] My housing ID, which is for the Vista Way apartments. I need to show this when I enter my apartment complex, and also when we are taking the shuttles

[P] My Disney ID, used to clock in and clock out, and also to enter any Disney centers or use their facilities.
[P] The back of my Disney ID. Notice the "SafeD", because safety always comes first!!! hahahaha -_-'''

[P] My business attire w/ nametag to attend my Traditions class and Training
[P] Another closeup of me and my nametag, yay

[P] 4 hours of going over these books in our Traditions class...Zzzz...

[P] 1st day of Disney during checkin process. The folder to the left was sooooo pretty, I just had to take a pic of it and show it off (The inside of the folder is below this. The two dividers of the folder are actually designed as clouds. Kawaii!). However, the things it contained were not interesting, haha. It was full of our employment forms and working policies.
The red book on the right was just a calendar that they gave us during our check-in process. It was an extremely cute calendar! (The picture below has the closeup of its inside)

[P] Inside of the calendar on the right, and the left is an entire book about Disney's outlook and how we should dress both inside and outside of the company. From the hair length to not allowed to wear bracelets to tucking in our costumes properly to the specific design and color of our shoes and socks.

Pictures of my Apartment and the entire complex will be posted later (maybe tomorrow), I apologize to my avid readers! Please be patient!

Disney Internship 1st Day [1/22/07/Monday]

I warn you now: My Photo Journal/Diary is always a list of events/schedule that I've done for the day(s). It may be boring to you at times, because of all the detailed descriptions, but it is meaningful to me and this is just how I write. I hardly include any emotions or feelings, or any personal stuff for that matter, not that there are any anyway, haha, so don't expect too much. Anyway, just want to warn you beforehand that it may be long and boring.
Don't like it, don't read ^_^
Also, as my brother knows very well (or actually, the whole world), my English is very poor, especially grammar-wise...I hate English -_-'' and don't give me that excuse that I go to school here in America... XD

Well, ENJOY!

Disney Internship with Sabrina + Ah Wing
1st day: [1/22/07/Monday]

Woke up at around 3:50am for our 6:15am flight to Orlando at JFK. Stayed at Ah Wing's (actual name: Wing Kang Lau - Cantonese) place the previous night. We left the house at 5am, and got to the airport at 5:30am.
Our airline is JetBlue, and the plane that we were on was newly built. Even though it was only a 3-hour flight, we each had our own personalized TV with Direct TV and we could watch tv shows onboard. The seats were all leather, very comfy, and very soft.
[P] On the plane almost about to land. Left~Right: Sabrina, Ah Wing, TLee

Because we hardly slept the night before, only about 3 hours, we all were seriously dead on the plane, haha, especially Ah Wing who didn't even go to bed at all the entire night because she haven't started packing yet (yupyup, only a couple of hours until our trip) and also she was busy downloading music into her mp3.
[P] Right after takeoff. Just wanted to show you how early it really really is! The sun isn't even up yet and it's still dark outside!!! wahhh... ='( Zzz

[P] Another pic of how dark it was outside. This is JFK airport at night

[P] Sunrise starting to set in. Beautiful skyyyy <3

Anyway, I slept for about 2 hours, and then the other half-hour watched a bit of tv, although there weren't really much on because it was regular tv shows and that time it was only around 8ish, so it was mostly all news. The news was the best because they gave the forecast of both New York and Florida, and oh my, wat a difference! New York: the entire week was 30ish degrees with Friday the coldest, highest only 23 degrees. Florida: right then it was sunny and 68 degrees when we landed ^_^

[P] The Blue Potato chips JetBlue offered us on the plane for snacks. I just had to take a pic of this and show it off because I have never seen blue potato chips in my entire life, and thought it was something worth taking pics of, haha. It was actually pretty good, only lacks a bit of salt, but it was harder and crispier than regular potato chips that we're used to. Pretty good. Go and have a try if you've never had this before

[P] Sun slowly setting in. The clouds look so fluffy, so squishy! ^ ^

[P] Arriving at Orlando International Airport!!!! Yay, we're here! FINALLY, the long-waited trip! ^_^

[P] After we got off the plane and finally out the airport, wowwww the warm cool breeze. Soooo comfortable!!! Beautiful weather that we haven't seen in New York for so long, haha. Yay! ^^

[P] Our apartment complex: Vista Way Apartments... well actually, just the sign, haha. Sorry, I haven't taken any pics yet of our entire community, haha, only the sign. I kept forgetting. Sorry! I will soon!

Our arrival day schedule was just hectic. Sooo tiresome, from the moment we arrived at the spot at around 10am, we have been nonstop until almost 7pm when we finally had time to eat dinner, or eat anything for that matter. We had to run around from one location/building to the next just for the entire check-in process, which involved telling us about our housing policies, getting our apartment assignments, payment for housing applications (which mine is $73 deducted from my paycheck per week), then the Disney look where they tell us our proper dress codes from hair to necklace to shoes, then getting our Housing Photo ID taken, signing our I-9 Employment Tax form, a 2 hour Welcome presentation at another apartment complex about 15 minutes from us (which was absolutely sooooo boring...Zzz...), and then a long hour line for a 10 minute fingerprint scan to check our backgrounds for any crimes. This all took place from 10am until 7pm... We were starrrrving by that time since had nothing to eat, and so when it was finally over, we ran to the first place we could find around our area, which was Wendy's and we seriously gobbled our meal down soooo fast

[P] We were exhausted for our entire 1st day... nonstop busy-ness(?) from the moment we woke up that morning at 3:50am until 7pm for dinner... this is what we looked like at the end of the night...Zzzzz
