Boma Buffet Restuarant at Animal Kingdom Lodge [4/18/07]

SOOO DELICIOUS!!!!

On the J Bus to Animal Kingdom Lodge for Boma. Me and Cynthay building a bridge with our legs haha. The bus driver must be wondering why these asians are so weird ^_^
[P] Me, Leann, Cynthay, Sabrina (i have no idea where she's looking or what she's doing for that matter (as usual, Sa-sa-bu-lina! haha)

Cynthay sleeping on the bus, since it is like a 40-minute drive; Sabrina, and her roommate Althea (from Kenya)
The inside of Boma restuarant
[P] Me (obviouslyyyy!!), Althea, Sasabulina, Leann, Sharon
Group pic again while waiting for our seats
[P] at the table. The table was very nice looking and the shape was interesting, so actually in this picture the people were just decorations. I only wanted you to see the table, haha
same people again

The Chef's special treat made especially for us, because Althea knows and works with him. YAY, lucky us!!! I may not like shrimps, but this dish sure was D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S!!!!! it was fried shrimp and mushrooms, in case you're wondering what this is
[Top View] Look how beautiful this is!!!!
We were just sooooo amazed and felt so special when the Chef brought this dish himself to our table. Everyone in the restaurant turned our way and looked at the dish (and us, of course! haha)
LOOK AT ALL THE DESERTS!!!! and no, i didn't get any of this or eat any of this. This was Cynthay's plate, haha

ANOTHER CHEF's SPECIAL TREAT! He surprised us yet again with this desert. Seriously, it is one of the best deserts i've ever tasted in my entire life. This was tofu skin wrapped in melted Oreo cookies inside, covered with melted chocolate fudge on the outside. ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS and BEAUTIFUL!!!! ^_^
[Top View] SOOO PRETTY!!!!
THE FAMOUS CHEF that brought us these two special dishes!!! He was sooo cute and so happy!!!
Group pic with the dish and the Chef!!! ^_^
Sharon taking apart the dish. So gooooood and creative!!!! ^^

Sabrina enjoying the special treat!
What kind of a face is this, Sabrina? haha ^__^
love their faces!
So chocolatey!!!!

Waiting at the bus stop for our bus cuz we missed our bus...saw it roll away right in front of us... XP, but we were still very happy cuz the meal was so delicious!

This is dedicated to my mom, who loves the Thousand Arms Buddha!! hahaha ^_^ We're so pretty!!! (we had 30 minutes to spare since missing the bus, so we tried everything to keep ourselves entertained, haha!... as you can tell...)

Hi Hi... apologize for......3 months of nonactivity... i know, i know... but still as always, busy as a bee!!! ^_^
anyway, i'm back and here are my recent activities here at Disney! Enjoy! I've decided to be quite vague and just post as many pictures as i can, since pictures tell more

[3/16/07]
"My Homemade Scallion pancakes and Sharon's homemade sweet red-bean desert"

I made my own scallion pancakes from scratch!!! Bought flour, then washed the scallions, then cut the scallions, and then added the oil into the pot, the fried it. It was such a big accomplishment, and it was my first time making it too! I'm so proud of myself! and to your amazement, it tasted "not bad" at all! hahaha!

(sorry, i was too anxious to try it and so i just had to take a bite out of it, haha, hence the missing piece to the left XP)(Sharon loving my pancakes! [She's from Malaysia! how cool is that? my only Malaysia friend from here, haha] Sharon's sweet red-bean desert. She is AWESOME at making asian deserts, I love them! (but this one was REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY (X22) sweet, haha)
Our entire meal! What a teamwork, I made the pancakes while Sharon and I chatted about famous Chinese singers that we both love, and she made the sweet red-bean desert. Such a wonderful and delicious meal!!!

[4/17/07]
"MGM Studios with the Thai people from work! I love them!!! They are soooooooo adorable!!! ^_^"

My favorite! ^_^), Rung "Thepsuda Tanavutiporn". Of course, it took me 2 months to learn their names, not to mention spelling them, haha) ALL SOOOOOOOOOOO CUTE and Nice!!!! definitely people you don't meet everyday, even in years..., in New York, haha)

Rung and June with Stitch!
Yay, here i am! you finally see me. and I'm with Stitch too! YAY!!!
Everyone from work enjoying Disney's famously large Turkey Legs... of course, we're still investigating whether those really are turkey... in the meantime, the other 3 people that you see in this pic are not Thai, haha. Santosh (left), Pedro (middle), and Stephanie (right, also from New York, but in Albany)
They love the turkey legs! and gosh are they sooooo asian and proper... who eats turkey legs with a knife and fork?! haha! ^^

Sabrina and Ah Wing

Hello my lovelies!! ^_^ I'm backkkkkkk!! Welcome again!
Sorry for not writing a new post for so long, but it's because I've been EXTREMELY busy here with work. For example, I worked until 12am last night, and then tonight (and also tomorrow too) I will be working from 4:30pm until 1am... T_T''

Anyway, here's some random pics that I want to show with you guys, mostly regarding my time here with Sabrina and Ah Wing. I'm soooo glad that these two are with me here in Florida; I would have never came here by myself, and the three of us all take great care of each other. We share the chores here too, for example I cook, Ah Wing washes the dishes, and Sabrina does random food chores, such as making us sandwiches for lunch next day or making us food if we're hungry after getting off work They both are extremely hilarious, mostly because of being too naive (vicky knows alllllll about this, haha) and very optimistic, and it is wonderful to be able to spend so much time with them here. We're so cute! hehehe, Kawaii-ne ^.0

[P] After grocery shopping Wal-Mart, Sabrina is happy that we have fooooooood!!! hahaha, yay (by the way, this pic is quite old. It was actually taken on the first day when we arrived here, haha. Sorry for the late post!)

[P] Sabrina at the drawer of her rooom

[P] Ah Wing trying to dodge my camera because she's in her pajamas, haha ^^

[P] Preparing the food I'm about to cook ^.0

[P] Me cooking!! and no nooo vicky, i know that it's a lot of food, but it's not just for me. Since the other two don't know how to cook, I'm the only one that's left... how lucky... un jotta ahjushi... -_-''

[P] Still cooking... I feel like a mom with 2 kids, haha...T.T

[P] The finished product!!!!! Soooo delicious!!! mashitta!!! mmm mmm goood!!!! And very healthy too! There's eggs, there's meat, there's mushrooms, and there's vegetables. Gosh, I'm so good!!!

[P] hehehe, even though Sabrina can't cook, she can make easy stuff, such as this sandwich for us. Very good! yumyum!

[P] haha, after a hard day's work, Sabrina is tireddddd and even fell asleep still wearing her glasses, hahahaha ^_^

[P] Below, hahaha, close up of Sabrina sleeping ^.^

My Apartment and the Vista Way Apartment Complex

My apartment building #37, which is the one right in the middle of this pic. I love the little pond outside, especially when I wake up in the morning and my bed it right next to the window, so I can just look outside and see water. Beautiful!!!

Different angle of the lake. It's actually quite big and takes about 1~2 minutes to walk halfway. It's so cute, everyday that I walk by it to Sabrina and Ah Wing's place there are always 3 ducks in the pond. It seems like it's a mother, father, and a little duckling. Totemo kawaii desu!

The side view of my apartment #37. Every building here at the Vista Way are exactly the same. It's actually pretty big! Maybe about 36 people each building (6 apartments in each building, which is 6 people in each apartment). The outside looks very beautiful, although the inside is a bit old...

The front of my apartment building. Very tall! It's 3 stories high, with quite a modern look (on the outside though XP)

My room!!!!! The left is my roommate Ashley's green bed, and the right near the window (and neater too, haha) is Mine!!!! Look how pretty (ehhh...). I love how bright my side is in the morning, and it really wakes you up and feel refreshed as the sunlight shines right through it

See how bright it is on my bed!!! It's a good thing they offered us blinds though, haha, or else for the entire internship there I'll come back home with my face tanner than any part of my body, hahahaha ^_^

Taken to show you the outside view from my window. This is the pond-view that I mentioned earlier. It's sooo pretty!! I can just sit on my bed and stare out in the morning into the pond for hours! (not saying whether I really did it or not XD... It's extremely peaceful and relaxing!!!)

The living room of my apartment. The TV on the left someone actually brought that with them, because Disney did not provide that form of entertainment...

Kitchen of my apartment. They provide all the pots and pans and plates and knives and spoons and forks and bowls (hahaha ^^)

The living room again, from a different angle. Notice how old the TV is, haha. It only has two volume settings: One that you can hardly hear unless you sit very close, or one that blasts so loud that you have to scream to talk to the person next to you and that even outside in the hall with the door closed you can hear it ^^

The front angle of the kitchen. To the left is a little table that allows two people to put their laptops out to connect to the internet. I don't have to cram my laptop onto theire to connect cuz I use the wireless router that JOE LEE gave me!!!!!! YAY!!! We have connected it at Sabrina and Ah Wing's apartment because Ah Wing needs to use it too, so I keep my laptop there to use. Thank you Joe!!! It's sooooooo convenient, and not just for me and Ah Wing, but also for our entire apartment too!! When everyone found out we had wireless, they were sooooo happy too! hahaha ^_^

My bathroom, shared with 3 other people >.< Teeny-tiny, haha

Even though the bathroom is teeny-tiny, it's good that they thought of adding 2 sinks, in case one person is doing a #2 in the bathroom, haha ^.^ Convenient!!

The beautiful view of the pond again, this time on the 2nd floor of the balcony on my building, right outside my apartment

One of Sabrina and Ah Wing's roommate, from Puerto Rico. She's extremelyyyyyy funny and open and friendly. Very nice!! This is Sabrina and Ah Wing's apartment, by the way. This is their dining room table. To the right is the kitchen

LOOK AT OUR FRIG!!!! hahahaha actually it's not just all ours. It's the entire apartment's food. But just wanted to show you how we share the frig and how full it became, the day right after we visited Wal-Mart, haha ^0^

The kitchen at Sabrina and Ah Wing's apartment. We keep all our food their, the 3 of us, so it's a lot!!! and plus, everyone in their apartment is over 21, so they know how to take care of themselves and eat right, so they buy lots of good food to cook for themselves, including US!!!!

The checkin-in area here at Vista Way. It's quite colorful, but the inside isn't very pretty. It's just a small computer lab (free printing! yeshhhhh ^^), and a mailbox where we pick up our mail and packages (Thanks Howie!!)

MY TWO awesome roomates!!!! The front one is Elilzabeth or "Liz", and that's the really nice and mature one. She is from Michigan and is turning 21 next month. By the way, she drove all the way over here to FL... just had to share that with you, as to What in the World was she Thinking?!?! hahhaah
The person behind her is my actual roommate who shares the same room as me. Her name is Ashley and she's only a freshman in college. She's from West Virginia, and she too, drove down here and it took her 13 hours, by herself, haha. She's very very friendly and nice too. She's great to talk to and pretty mature for her age, or compared to the other 3 roommates that i have that i dont want to share with you, haha. Very annoying and immature, since they're all 18yrs, and the sad part is that one of the girls is 20... sad huh?...

The outside pool of our complex at night. This is by the shuttle/bus stop, and we have many pools and basketball courts and tennis courts on property. Nice and pretty!!!

Another night view of the pool, but also to show you what our buildings look like at night at the complex.

Well, that's ALL folks!!! for this time, i guess. There's still LOTS AND LOTS more pics!!! I'll be back!!!
